Final Approach is a complete and fully integrated tool. There are no third-party tools to buy and maintain: just add your data and you’re set to go. Competing tools usually rely on an underlying third-party Computer Aided Design (CAD) package or (even worse!) a spreadsheet that increases complexity and training time.

Three Editions

The Enterprise Edition of Final Approach is suitable for larger procedure design offices with more than one or two designers. The data is held on a server and each Final Approach workstation accesses the data over a network. All procedure designs are held on the server as well so that data integrity and traceability are maintained. This configuration supports the simultaneous design of multiple procedures of all supported types around the globe. The Enterprise Edition is supplied fully configured and includes:

  • All the hardware (workstations and server)
  • Operating system software
  • Final Approach application (including all procedure design criteria rule modules)
  • All available data (terrain, obstruction and aeronautical).
The Studio Edition of Final Approach runs on a standard desktop computer and supports the design of the more common procedures anywhere in the world or a complete set of procedures in a more limited geographic area.

The Studio Edition comes fully configured and includes:

  • Workstation hardware
  • Operating system software
  • Final Approach application (including selected procedure design criteria rule modules)
  • All available data (terrain, obstruction and aeronautical) for selected regions.
The Mobile Edition is, as the name implies, a portable version of Final Approach running on a laptop or Electronic Flight Bag (EFB).

The Mobile Edition comes fully configured and includes:

  • Class I EFB or laptop hardware
  • Operating system software, any required maintenance and ongoing support
  • Final Approach application (including selected procedure design criteria rule modules)
  • All available data (terrain, obstruction and aeronautical) for selected regions.
